Disinformation and fake news can have a profound impact on individuals, affecting their mental health, financial well-being, and social relationships. It is crucial to be aware of the dangers and to develop the skills to critically evaluate information. In this regard it is essential to recognize the consequences.

Claire Wardle and Hossein Derakhshan (2017) classification of information disorders
which ranges from low manipulation to high manipulation intent.
