Teachers & Students!

Brief description:

WiseME equips secondary school teachers and students with both basic and advanced digital skills while promoting digital literacy—essential for navigating an algorithm-driven world and actively participating in civil society and democracy.
WiseME empowers users to critically evaluate information, harness the potential of digital tools, and contribute to a more informed and digitally skilled community.

Goals:

  • Raise awareness about the risks of disinformation and fake news.
  • Equip teachers and students with the skills to verify information and use social media responsibly.
  • Enhance digital literacy and promote critical thinking in the classroom.
  • Provide teachers with resources to integrate lessons on disinformation management into their teaching practices.

Methodology:

The course is structured into 7 modules, and each module encompasses the following.
The content is divided for teachers and students. The structure allows you to customize your learning journey according to your preferences, allowing you to learn at your own pace while balancing learning and joy.

How to Use the WiseME Online Platform:

The WiseME Online Platform is structured around 7 learning modules, 6 of them divided into two sections — one for teachers and one for students.

  • The Teachers’ section includes the WiseME Handbook, which provides background information, teaching objectives, and guidance on how to introduce each topic in the classroom.

  • The Students’ section contains both online and offline activities that complement the teachers’ content. These activities help students practice and apply what they have learned — individually at home or collaboratively during class.

Each module covers a key topic — from understanding disinformation and social media influence to ethical sharing, emotional awareness, and classroom application.

The platform is designed to support flexible, self-paced learning for both educators and students, making it easy to integrate digital literacy and critical thinking into daily teaching.
